Last Friday, the Benbrook Bobcat and Lady Bobcat Cross Country Team competed in the Prowl in the Park Meet at Benbrook’s Dutch Branch Park.

The Varsity boys finished 5th overall, the following boys finished in the top 20 and medaled: Levi Brawley 10th, Sean Starwalt 17th, Hudson Felker 18th, Daniel Viola 19th and Trentin Hornbeck 20th.

The JV boys finished 1st overall and the following boys finished in the top 20 and medaled: Kaden Robles 7th, Casey Wilson 8th, Ethan Farr 9th, and Andrew Herrill 17th.

Our JV and Varsity girls ran together and finished 2nd overall with the following girls finishing in the top 10: Carley Couch 4th, Ruth Walker 5th, & Isabella Aranda 10th . Hannah Anderson finished in the top 20 placing 17th.

Head Cross Country Coach, Coach Donart, is proud of the effort and progress as they prepare for the district meet, “Our runners have been working very hard since the first of August, getting up early and coming out to do something that most do not like to do. Please congratulate them on these accomplishments and their hard work.”

The Benbrook Cross Country team travels to Granbury this Friday to compete in Race for the Loot. The meet begins at 8:30 A.M at the Granbury Disc Golf Course, West More Street.
