The Benbrook Bobcats took on the Bridgeport Bulls last night at AT&T Stadium in a memorable game marking the first time the Bobcats took the field of the Dallas Cowboys.

Earlier this week, Coach Slater along with Offensive Coordinator Coach Altmiller, Quarterback Collin Thompson and Center Morgan Clarke joined the RallyCats Podcast Show to talk about the season. Coach Slater was focused on progress with a tough pre-season schedule as they get ready for district play, “We are improving and playing with more physicality. And we are challenging them to be more physical and play together, trust one another. We are proud of their effort.”

Benbrook was not able to come away with the victory losing to the Bulls 56-21 but the Bobcats kept fighting and took every opportunity to get better as they continuing working towards competing in district. And everyone walked away with an experience to remember!

The RallyCats Post Game Show talked with Coach Altmiller and players about the experience. Coach Altmiller described the game as “a once in a lifetime experience and someday the kids are going to talk about what they did on this field”. Bobcat Junior Wide Receiver Jake Lindsay reflected on his 10 yard receiving touchdown in the Cowboys’ Stadium with excitement “ That was crazy, that’s all I’ve been dreaming of since I was like 6”.

The Bobcats go on the road next Friday to take on the Breckenridge Buckaroos.
